Your child will be mezmerized by the beauty of Czech and Slovak fairytales, poems, and realistic fiction stories!
The club is intended for any child 5-13 years of age, who likes reading and understands Czech or Slovak. Your child should be able to sit quietly and listen to a spoken word for an extended period of time. He or she needs to be old enough to actively engage in book discussions and activities. Younger children are welcome, however, they need to be accompanied by a parent.
Individual readings will take place at the Bohemian Hall on the Czech and Slovak School premises on selected Sunday afternoons.
Your child will listen to a story for about 20 minutes. Then, he or she will be engaged in a post-reading activity, including drawing, coloring, writing, watching a movie, etc. All readings will be presented by pre-screened volunteers.
All readings are free of charge. RSVP required.
